Kenya's premier sport climbing crag, 40 km from Nairobi.
Lukenya is a long granite escarpment on the Athi Plains with hundreds of bolted sport routes and classic trad lines from grade 4 to 8a. The Main Wall, Hippo Wall and Red Wall offer everything from beginner slabs to overhanging test pieces.
Beyond climbing, the hills are great for hiking, scrambling and birding, with views back over Nairobi National Park and the Athi River.
