Dramatic gorges, towering cliffs and wildlife you can walk among on foot or by bike.
Hell’s Gate is one of the only national parks in Kenya where you can explore on foot or by bicycle. The park is famous for its red cliffs, Fischer’s Tower, Central Tower and the deep Ol Njorowa Gorge carved by ancient rivers.
Zebra, giraffe, eland, hartebeest and warthog graze across the open plains while klipspringer pick along the cliff edges. The geothermal landscape is otherworldly — steam vents hiss along the gorge floor and natural hot springs bubble out of the rock.
It’s a perfect introduction to Kenya’s outdoors for hikers, climbers and cyclists, only two hours from Nairobi.
