About this adventure

Every Saturday we run an open-booking, full-day adventure inside Hell’s Gate National Park — one of the few parks in Kenya you can walk and cycle through, surrounded by zebra, giraffe, buffalo and warthog. The day combines guided rock climbing on Fischer’s Tower, a cycle through the gorge valley, and an afternoon trek into Ol Njorowa Gorge with its hot springs, gothic red cliffs and slot canyons. All gear is provided; total beginners are welcome and children from age 4 can join the trek and cycle portions with a parent.

Day Schedule

A day in the park

1. 06:30

   Depart Nairobi (optional shuttle pick-up)

2. 09:00

   Arrive Elsa Gate, park briefing & safety talk

3. 09:30

   Cycle 7 km through the valley to Fischer’s Tower

4. 10:30

   Rock climbing session with certified instructors

5. 13:00

   Packed lunch at the ranger picnic area

6. 14:00

   Guided trek into Ol Njorowa Gorge & hot springs

7. 16:30

   Cycle back to the gate

8. 17:30

   Depart for Nairobi (arrive ~20:00)
