Difficulty: Extremely Strenuous / Technical Rock Face. Fitness level: Advanced Elite. Target: A fast alpine path utilizing 1:1 safety guide ratios on granite rope walls.

Approach through Sirimon Gate, Old Moses and Shipton’s Hut before moving to the Kami high alpine zone. Technical preparation covers lead climbing, multi-pitch belay systems and rope communication, followed by a North Face summit push to Batian True Peak (5,199m).

Itinerary

Naivasha to Old Moses

Stay: Old Moses. Naivasha pickup. Move to Sirimon Gate. Hike up to Old Moses. Gear validation.

Mackinder Valley to Shipton’s Hut

Stay: Shipton’s. Trek across Mackinder Valley to Shipton’s Hut. Undergo medical screening.

Kami high alpine zone and technical clinic

4 km / +230m. Stay: Kami Alpine Tents. 08:00 AM: Breakfast at Shipton’s. 09:00 AM: Steep scramble to Kami Hut high alpine zone (4,430m). 01:30 PM: Technical lead-climbing, multi-pitch belay systems and rope communication clinic.

Batian True Peak via North Face

Stay: Old Moses. Summit push to Batian True Peak (5,199m) via North Face route. 1:1 safety lines. High rappels to Kami, then walk down to Old Moses.

Sirimon Gate and Naivasha return

Down to Sirimon Gate. Private vehicle return to Naivasha.
