A demanding two-day journey for endurance hikers and cultural travellers. Cycle across Hell’s Gate to the Rangers’ Post, then trek for hours through the gorge and out across the park boundary into the Mount Suswa plains.
The night is spent camping in an authentic Maasai manyatta with a community-cooked dinner. Day 2 brings motorcycle tracking with Maasai hosts and a ridge walk above the Suswa caldera before the drive back to Nairobi.
06:30 Nairobi pickup; bike fitting at Elsa Gate; cycle to the Rangers’ Post; long gorge trek with packed lunch; trek out into the Suswa plains; arrive at the manyatta, set up camp, community dinner.
Homestead breakfast; 07:30 motorcycle tracking with Maasai riders; 09:30 ridge walk above the Suswa caldera; 11:45 return to Nairobi.
