A weekly Saturday adventure inside Hell’s Gate National Park — one of Kenya’s only parks where you can walk and cycle among giraffes, zebras and buffalo. The day blends technical rock climbing at the park’s famous crags with cycling and a guided trek through the Ol Njorowa Gorge’s canyon, hot springs and water-sculpted rock formations.
All technical climbing gear (harnesses, helmets, ropes, climbing shoes) and certified instructors are provided. Lines are set up for beginners, intermediates and advanced climbers. Suitable from 4 years and up — no group size limit.
Pick up rented bicycles and move to the climbing site.
Harness, helmet and shoe fitment, ground demo on grips, foot placement and rope commands. Quick team icebreaker.
Instructors set lines for all levels. Swap into provided climbing shoes; short rest breaks in Crocs.
Change back into sports shoes. Packed lunch in the shade before the trek.
Cycle or drive to the gorge trailhead. Guided 2–2.5 hr trek through the canyon, hot springs and water-sculpted rock. Return bikes and depart at leisure.
