The legendary plains of the Great Migration — Kenya's flagship safari.
The Maasai Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and the most iconic safari destination in Africa. Between July and October, more than 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River in the Great Migration, hunted by the Mara’s famous big cats.
Year-round you’ll find huge prides of lion, cheetah on the open plains, leopard along the Talek and Mara rivers, plus elephant, hippo, giraffe and every plains antelope you can imagine.
July – October (migration); January – February (calving)
